These sessions cover basic commands such as:
The aim of these sessions is to allow owners and dogs to live in harmony together by teaching the dog impulse control. By starting in a low distraction environment we can teach the dog to listen and respond to us and over time expose him to more distractions and still be able to hold his attention.
Sessions are charged at £40 per hour.
One to one training
One to one training sessions are aimed at owners who have a dog who is displaying unwanted behaviours. I am a big believer in teaching dogs how to live in our habitat. Dogs are not misbehaving or naughty; they are simply behaving like a dog naturally would. Sometimes dogs can develop behaviours because they haven’t been taught an alternative way. Our job as owners is to show them how to correctly behave under our big set of house rules.
Sessions are relaxed and non-critical. Together we discuss the problem you are experiencing and an appropriate solution that suits your lifestyle and commitments.
Some of the problems I help dogs with are:
- Fears, phobias and nervousness
- Separation anxiety
- Dog –dog problems
- Dog- human problems
- Pulling on the lead
- Overly boisterous play
- Excessive barking
- Chasing runners/cyclists
- Jumping up
- General bad manners
- Resource guarding
- House training
All one to one training sessions require a completed vet referral form to rule out any underlying health problem that could be causing the behaviour before training can begin.
Sessions are charged at £60 per hour.
